Dead man identified
Police yesterday named a man found dead in Sandys last week as 56-year-old Leonard Flood.
A spokesman said that Mr. Flood was found at a Somerset Road premises at about 10.20 a.m. on Friday but that the cause of death had yet to be determined.
A source told The Royal Gazette that Mr. Flood's body was discovered outdoors, behind the MarketPlace supermarket and next to the Dollar Depot.
"He wasn't homeless but he spent a lot of time on the streets," said the source.
Police said there were no apparent suspicious circumstances and a post-mortem was due to be carried out shortly.
The spokesman said: "The Bermuda Police Service extends its sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased."
Mr. Flood's body appeared to have been at the premises for some time before it was found, according to a Police statement issued last week.
