Bermuda’s fast ferry project was held up as a model to be considered for use across the region at the latest meeting of Caribbean leaders.

Premier Ewart Brown is currently in St. Vincent and the Grenadines for the inter-sessional meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community.

Topics under discussion included regional energy issues, agricultural policy and maritime and air transport issues. Dr. Brown said yesterday: “The meeting is extremely well-attended and regional issues under discussion prove our similarities and common challenges.

“I am particularly pleased to have participated in the discussion on maritime transport in the region and to have Bermuda’s fast ferry project highlighted as a useful model for regional consideration.”
