Harbour Nights to close with entertainment spectacular tonight

Special performances will be put on to mark the last Harbour Nights of the 2007 season.Harbour Nights is a free fun-filled street festival held on Front Street every Wednesday evening from 7-10 p.m. during the summer. Tonight is the last one this year. It is run by the Bermuda Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by the Bank of Bermuda, and Department of Community and Cultural Affairs.Tonight there will be performances by Hands of Afro Kool, Eddie Ming School of Drums, Berkeley School Choir, Jahstice Band, vocalist Marvin Ford, a performance by the In Motion School of Dance and fashion show by PRIDE Bermuda.

The Master of Ceremonies for the evening will be popular comedian, Nadanja Bailey and the event will close with a performance by the Warwick Gombeys at 9.45 p.m.

In addition to the evening's stage entertainment, the bank will be hosting a game booth with free giveaways for children.

Chamber of Commerce Executive Vice President, Diane Gordon, said: "After fifteen years, Harbour Nights is still the largest weekly street festival in Bermuda and it attracts tourists and locals alike to the City of Hamilton.

"Harbour Nights would not be possible without the support of our sponsors, Bank of Bermuda and Department of Community and Cultural Affairs.

She also thanked everyone involved in the event including artists, entertainers and caterers for making the event a success as well as shop owners, who remained open for late night shopping.
