Man admits assault charge
A 23-year-old man yesterday [NOTE]MONDAY[\NOTE] admitted assault causing bodily harm and theft when he appeared at Supreme Court.
Isaac Robert Lambe, of Redcoat Lane, St. George's, will be sentenced for the offences at the Arraignments session on March 1 after Puisne Judge Carlisle Greaves ordered a social inquiry report.
Lambe pleaded guilty to assaulting Winfield Chuck Simpson and causing him bodily harm on September 10, 2005.
He also admitted stealing Mr. Simpson's wallet, which contained a bank card, driver's licence and money, on the same day.
A charge of robbery, which Lambe denied, was left to lie on file.
His lawyer, Shade Subair, asked the judge to consider probation rather than custody as "the accused is a young person". The defendant's bail was extended.
