Education Minister Randy Horton has been visiting the Island's public schools with his sister, the new acting Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Education.

Randy and Ellen-Kate Horton travelled to schools across the Island last week. On Friday, they were at St. David's Primary School.

Mr. Horton said he was impressed with the bright and cheerful classrooms there.

"We are all aware that students do better when the environments they study in stimulate learning. I believe we are meeting that here."

The Minister said he intended to visit all the schools in the system eventually.
