A road traffic accident that happened on the weekend resulted in the driver of one of the vehicles being arrested and taken to the hospital.

The accident occurred on Saturday around 6.20 p.m. on Harrington Sound Road in Hamilton Parish, between a car and a motorcycle. It appears the motorcycle was travelling east on Harrington Sound Road, according to Police, and the car was travelling in the opposite direction when the collision happened.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 36-year-old Hamilton Parish man, sustained scrapes and bruising to his left knee and hand. He was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and subsequently taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries. However, the driver of the car, a 38-year-old Devonshire woman was not injured.
