Pair charged with growing cannabis

Two defendants appeared at court to deny a string of drug offences including cultivating a plant of cannabis.

Dane Robinson, 38, and Giovanni Wilson, 33, both of Shelton Road, Pembroke, will re-appear at Magistrates' Court later this year for a trial.

Yesterday, Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner read a list of charges against the pair, all relating to July 12 last year, and all denied by the defendants.

As well as cultivating the plant, they are both accused of possession of cannabis and possession of equipment used in connection with a controlled drug.

Robinson faces a further charge of possession of cannabis resin with intent to supply.

Wilson is also accused of possession of scales for use in connection with a controlled drug, and possession of cannabis with intent to supply.

Mr. Warner adjourned the case to December 10 for trial. Each was granted $10,000 bail.
