Police pull car from water at Penhurst Park
Police were busy over the Labour Day weekend dealing with a submerged car and more than a dozen reported robberies.
Police were called to the Penhurst Park in Devonshire on Monday morning and found a Silver Opel Astra submerged in the water.
They are calling it a "suspicious circumstance" and said that no one was found in the car.
A crane was used to pull the car out of the water.
Meanwhile five Pembroke homes were burglarised along with three homes in Southampton, two in Hamilton Parish, two in Warwick and one in Paget.
They also attended two burglaries in Devonshire. At one of the homes, on Valley Heights Road, they were told that an unknown culprit broke in and stole jewellery, a silver Kodak digital camera, an Apple laptop computer, a Sony PlayStation with two controllers and personal items. Police are investigating the incidents.
And seven vehicles were taken without the owner's consent.
Police were also kept busy with traffic offences. One person was arrested for suspicion of driving impaired over the holiday weekend and Police were called to 17 damage only road traffic collisions. There were also 12 reported road traffic collisions resulting in injury.
