Speeder was over the drinks limit
A few Heinekens and Dark 'n' Stormies put a Warwick man over the legal drink-drive limit when he was stopped by Police after a speed trap indicated his motorbike was travelling at 63 kph along Middle Road in Warwick late at night.
Tyler Dunstan, 20, of Pipers Park, admitted a charge of impaired driving when he appeared at Plea Court yesterday.
He had been riding a motorbike at 11 p.m. on September 16 when officers using a speed gun clocked him travelling above the speed limit and caused him to stop his bike.
As Police officers approached Dunstan they detected the smell of alcohol on him and asked if he had been drinking that evening.
Dunstan replied he had had "a few Heinekens and Dark 'n' Stormies."
A breathalyser test confirmed he was over the legal drink-drive limit. He was disqualified from driving for a year and fined $1,000.
