The Sustainable Development Roundtable team members:
Premier Ewart Brown’s Sustainable Development Roundtable consists of 13 members. Seven are new, six are returning from the previous panel
New Members
ARTHUR HODGSON — Former Environment Minister who was named Chairman of the roundtable a few weeks ago. He is widely credited for first raising the issue of sustainable development in Bermuda.
DR. EUGENIE SIMMONS — Current Director of the Centre for Professional and Career Enhancement at the Bermuda College. She brings workforce development and education know-how to the Roundtable>
AIDEEN RATTERAY-PRYSE — Former Assistant Director of Planning. She will bring land use and Planning knowledge to the committee.
LARRY WILLIAMS — Current Director of Habitat for Humanity Bermuda. He will be a resource on housing and poverty for the committee.
ALLAN HUNT — Former Solid Waster Manager and currently President of Clean Islands International. He will highlight some of the infrastructure issues that Bermuda is facing.
PAMELA BARIT NOLAN — Director of the Centre on Philanthropy. She will provide a wealth of knowledge on the third pillar and its contribution to the Island.
MALCOLM KIRKLAND — Director of the Bermuda Sloop Foundation. He is well-schooled on social issues and working with young people.
Returning Members
DAVID CHAPMAN — An environmental scientist who will remain as Deputy Chairman. He’s a teacher at the Berkeley Institute and will contribute his science background and connection to young people.
FRANCIS MUSSENDEN — President and CEO of the Bermuda Telephone Company who will represent the Bermuda Employers’ Council.
DR. PAUULU KAMARAKAFEGO — An ecological engineer specialising in rural technology, planning and developing rural communities. He has also been a consultant to the United Nations.
AMANDA OUTERBRIDGE — Former Bermuda National Trust Director (BNT). She has a long record on preserving Bermuda’s natural resources.
DORCAS ROBERT—Currently the Environmental Conservation Officer for the BNT. She will represent the BNT on the roundtable.
PETER EVERSON — President of the Bermuda Chamber of Commerce. He represents business and commerce issues for the roundtable.
