Norwegian Majesty makes its first visit for 2008 season

Norwegian Majesty arrived on Monday in what was its first visit to the Island for the 2008 cruise ship season. On board were 1,470 passengers. It berthed at Ordinance Island in St. George's.

Explorer of the Seas arrived on the Island yesterday, berthing at Dockyard until it sails out today at 4 p.m. There were no passenger counts available for it.

Norwegian Dawn is scheduled to arrive within our shores today and anchor in the Great Sound.

It will then shift to King's Wharf in Dockyard upon the departure of the Explorer of the Seas at around 5 p.m. It will depart on Friday.

Cargo vessel Bermuda Islander will pull into the Island tomorrow with 161 containers including 23 refrigerated ones, plus three flat-bed trailers.

Oleander, the busy Bermuda cargo vessel returned from Port Elizabeth in New Jersey on Sunday on its weekly run. It brought back 195 dry containers and 45 refrigerated ones.

It also had on board nine road trailers and ten cars. She sailed from Bermuda on Tuesday at 8.05 a.m.
