PartnerRe today announced a profit of $57 million for the fourth quarter down 83 percent from the same period in 2009.The decrease was largely down to losses related to the upward revision of claims from the September earthquake in New Zealand and flooding in Australia.Full-year net income was down 43 percent to $852.6 million, compared to the profit of $1.5 billion in 2009, when catastrophe losses were much lower.Operating earnings of $1.52 per share beat analysts’ estimates of $1.35.
