Family and friends of 26-year-old Ruth Binns yesterday paid their final respects at her funeral.

Mourners attended Hamilton Seventh-day Adventist Church, King Street, for the service for Ms Dill, who was discovered dead by her sister in her apartment at Camp Hill, Southampton, on Tuesday, September 25.

The ceremony was followed by a burial at the Seventh-day Adventist Cemetery, St. George's.

CellularOne, where Ms Binns was a popular employee, closed all its stores and offices for the afternoon as a mark of respect.

Ms Binns, also known as Ruth Dill, was found dead just three weeks before her family mourns the anniversary of the stabbing death of her brother Edward (Sleepy) Dill.

On Monday this week, Arnold Astwood, 35, of Devonshire, appeared at Magistrates' Court charged with Ms Binns' murder.
