Tania Aebi, who became the youngest woman to circumnavigate the world alone in 1987, will launch a rally from New York City to Bermuda on June 15, 2008.

Ms Aebi has teamed up with racer, cruiser, and event organiser Dan Goldberg of Mamaroneck, New York.

They will be starting at the Lincoln Harbor Yacht Club and sail to Bermuda Yacht Services in St. George's Harbour, Bermuda.

Participating boats will receive satellite phones and participate in daily conference calls as well as receive weather and routing updates from meteorologists

Family and friends can monitor boat positions via iBoattrack at www.iboattrack.com.
