Edward Hamilton (Doc) Richardson pleaded guilty to prowling outside a Fairylands home on February 24.

Crown counsel Mr. Stephen Harrison told the court that the house where Richardson was prowling had been under observation after being the subject of several prowlings and break-ins.

"At 8.50 a.m. Police arrested Richardson after watching him walk around the house,'' Mr. Harrison said.

When asked by Police why he was circling the house Richardson said: "I was prowling, I ain't doing nothing wrong. I was prowling to see a naked woman.'' Investigating officer Sgt. Andrew Boyce informed the court of Richardson's lengthy record involving charges such as break and entry, indecent assault, indecent exposure, prowling, and possession of an offensive weapon.

Sgt. Boyce added that Richardson's first charge began in 1957.

Chief Justice the Hon. Justice ward asked Richardson if he had anything to say and he replied: "At the time I was depressed. My father and my brother suffered from cancer and I needed someone to talk to.

"I asked a probation officer to come see me at Casemates and no one came, so I had no one to talk to. I'm sorry for what I've done.'' The Chief Justice said: "You have a long list of previous convictions.

People should be able to feel safe in their homes.

"We can't help you anymore than you help yourself.''
