Robert Coleman Wakefield Thomas, 28, of Deepdale Road West, admitted possessing two rocks of crack cocaine on December 10.

Prosecutor Sgt. Rex Osborne said a Police officer was on patrol on Elliot Street around 2.35 p.m. when he saw Thomas put a brown paper twist under a rock.

The officer went to the rock and removed the paper twist which was later found to be two rocks weighing .68 grams of 38 percent pure crack cocaine.

Sgt. Osborne said Thomas had been imprisoned, put on probation and been counselled at Addiction Services after previous convictions, but none of these appeared to have succeeded in getting him to stop using drugs.

Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis then fined Thomas $1,000.
