For S2 students at the Spice Valley Middle School have established both the LIVE Party and HELP Party which will fight for power during a mock election on April 28.

As part of the Bermuda Secondary School Certificate programme, the 70 students have been required to research information and host oral presentations on Island politics and Government MPs.

Both student parties, which are currently drafting their proposals, have been granted a $500 million budget in order to fund their respective tourism, environment, education, transport, finance, and sports and recreation ministries.

HELP (Heal Everyone Liberate People) and LIVE (Liberate Innovate Validate Everyone) will present their platforms, Ministers and leaders to younger Spice Valley students as well as invited primary school pupils before the official ballots are cast.

The victorious party will be announced and inaugurated the following day.

Prominent members of the community will also be on hand during both the mock election and inauguration.
