Plans by a Somers Gardens condo owner to put in a hot tub, wall and sunroof were shot down this week by the DAB.

The reason the DAB gave for rejecting Mr. Walter Cross's application, submitted in March 10, 1992, was that insufficient information was given to enable a proper assessment of the proposal.

But as a footnote, the DAB said: "The Board wishes to advise that it is of the opinion that this site has reached its maximum development potential.'' Somers Gardens resident Mr. Andrew Outerbridge's application for an addition at his condo at the Green Bay Road complex was also turned down.

Board members added the same footnote. And they said the proposal conflicted with the Bermuda Plan 1992 in that the development would constitute "excessive massing'' and would be sited in a prominent location and have a detrimental visual impact.

The DAB further refused Somers Gardens Development Company Ltd's application for new chimneys and walkway additions at two other units.

Insufficient information had been supplied with the May 4, 1992 application, the DAB said.
