Foul play has not been ruled out in the death of a 59-year-old St. David's man who was found unconscious at a city construction site.

Kenneth Lawrence Carter of Sofar Lane died on Tuesday night in King Edward VII Memorial Hospital from injuries he sustained last month.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding his injuries, Sgt.

Roseanda Jones confirmed yesterday. An ambulance was called to the construction site of the Seventh Day Adventist Church on King Street at about 2.45 p.m. on February 19.

Mr. Carter, who had not been working at the site, was found in an unconscious state with facial and head injuries. This was reported to Police by hospital workers. While in hospital, he never regained consciousness.

An autopsy will be carried out,'' Sgt. Jones said, adding, "At this time suspicious circumstances have not been ruled out.''
