That's the warning given to subscribers of the International Airline Passenger Association newsletter, IAPA Travel Safety Alert.

Newsletter editor Mr. David Sempler told The Royal Gazette that the notice was inserted in the April issue following receipt of an "unusually high number'' of letters about riding on Bermuda's roads.

The newsletter has a circulation of about 50,000 and according to Mr.

Stempler, is distributed to members in North America, South America, Central America, and the Caribbean. Bermuda also has subscribers.

The subscription list includes people in government and the Press as well as the travel industry.

The alert was published under the Personal Safety column of the newsletter.

It coincided with a public warning by Police about the relatively high number of road deaths this year and the rising incidence of traffic accidents.

The six road deaths that occurred in the first three months of 1994 represented a 300 percent increase over the same period in 1993.
