A police spokesman told the Mid-Ocean News yesterday that, so far, no file on the 31-year-old's case had been received and that "the investigation is ongoing''.
Minors, the country's high-profile national cricket team wicket-keeper, was arrested at Bermuda International Airport on New Year's night on a charter flight from Orlando, Florida, on suspicion of importing marijuana.
News of the arrest of Minors, who has enjoyed a clean-cut image both on and off the field, caused wide spread shock throughout the sporting community.
Employed as a physical education teacher at CedarBridge Academy, Mr. Minors was subsequently suspended on full pay. Attempts, yesterday, to reach the Permanent Secretary for Education to clarify whether the well-known cricketer was still on suspension, were unsuccessful as of press time.
On January 9, the Ministry of Education refused to comment specifically on the case but confirmed that "the normal procedure is that if someone is arrested, they are suspended on full pay.
"If they are charged and then found guilty, they will be dismissed. If they are found not guilty or acquitted, they will be reinstated.''
