May 31 if they want to participate in any upcoming elections, the Parliamentary Registrar announced yesterday.

Mrs. Marlene Christopher said the final register would be published on June 15 and goes into effect the following day. Any election, by-election or referendum held after that date will use the 1994 register. The register for 1993 will be withdrawn.

The draft register now on display contains some 29,000 names, about 5,000 short of the total number of eligible voters.

Mrs. Christopher urged young voters and those registering for the first time to make sure their names were on the form sent in to the Registrar's office by the head of their household.

The draft register is on display at all post offices, libraries and the office of the Parliamentary Registrar.
