male, beat him with a baseball bat, and emptied his pockets of a quantity of money.

The attack occurred on Happy Valley Road in Pembroke at about 1 a.m. on Saturday morning.

The 24-year-old victim told Police he was walking near Hillsdale Avenue when four men jumped him, pulled him to the ground and demanded his money. He was apparently hit about the arms and legs with a baseball bat before the attackers removed a quantity of money from his pockets.

The attackers made their escape down Cherry Hill. The victim was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment.
