The development of patient education programmes, cardiac rehabilitation and continuing medical education of hospital staff will eventually be integrated into his duties.

Dr. Marshall received his medical degree from the University of Ottawa and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in Internal Medicine and Cardiology.

He has authored and co-authored several books and publications, most notably "On Call'' Principles and Protocols, which is currently in five languages and used by medical students worldwide.
