Pembroke man fined for crack
in fines in Magistrates' Court.
Richard Greene, 40, admitted possession of .32 grams of 98-percent pure crack cocaine and drug equipment, namely a miniature Scotch bottle with foil over the top.
Prosecutor Sgt. Kenrick James said Police officers on patrol near Whale Bay last July 5 heard voices coming from the fort and went to investigate.
They saw Greene talking to a woman and when they approached him he quickly shoved his hands in his pockets, Sgt. James said.
After searching him on suspicion of drug possession, they found the pipe in a pocket and a brown twist containing crack in his sock.
Sgt. James said Greene responded, "Okay you guys have got me.'' Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis fined him $200 for the pipe and $600 for the crack.
