On Wednesday in Dallas Mr. Perot appointed two veteran political strategists, Democrat Mr. Hamilton Jordan, and Republican Mr. Ed Rollins, to run his campaign.
At the end of the primary season this week, Mr. Perot, the undeclared candidate, led exit polls in California, Texas, Colorado, Oregon, Montana and Washington.
National polls have also indicated he leads President George Bush, who is assured the Republican Party nomination, and Arkansas Gov. Bill Clinton, his Democratic challenger.
