PLP man ready for Paget East challenge
A story on the PLP's candidate in the Paget East bye-election in yesterday's paper should have read candidate Rolfe Commissiong views the traffic problem near Paget Pharmacy, not near the Paget stoplights, as one of the main issues facing constituents.
The PLP candidate for the Paget East by-election yesterday declared himself ready to tackle the challenge of running in what is thought of as a UBP stonghold.
Mr. Rolfe Patton Commissiong's adoption as PLP candidate was announced yesterday by Opposition Leader Mr. Frederick Wade, and campaign chairman Ms Jennifer Smith.
Mr. Wade said the PLP viewed every voter as important, and vowed the party would mount an aggressive and vigorous campaign.
Mr. Commissiong was educated at Northlands Primary School, Mount Saint Agnes Academy and Warwick Secondary.
He completed his further education at Baruch College and the City University of New York. He is currently employed as an assistant controller at Hall and Associates.
He sees the main issues facing Paget East constituents as being the traffic problem at the Paget stoplights, and the unique environment of the parish, which he feels should be preserved.
Mr. Commissong hopes to be seen as a man for all seasons, voters, and constituents. He believes Bermuda to be a place where potential can be fulfilled, given chance and opportunity.
Mr. Rolf Commisiong.
