On Friday evening a motorcyclist was involved in a "hit and run'' incident with a Police car on Lighthouse Road, St. David's.

The Police car, driven by a 22-year-old St. George's uniformed P.c., was travelling west when it was in head-on collision with a motorcycle travelling in the opposite direction.

Neither driver was injured and there was minor damage to both vehicles. The motorcyclist rode away.

An 18-year-old St. George's youth was later spoken to about the incident. In the other incident, around 6 p.m., Saturday, a Police vehicle was travelling east down Scaur Hill, Sandys, when it collided head-on with a private car travelling in the opposite direction.

The Police car was driven by a 46-year-old uniformed Police sergeant from the Western Division, in Somerset. The car was driven by a 45-year-old Sandys man.

Extensive damage was caused to both cars, but there were no injuries to either driver. The cause is still under investigation.
