Saltus student expelled after tour
England, The Royal Gazette has been told.
Now it is believed at least two of the youngsters have been expelled.
Teachers have been tight-lipped this week over the controversy -- refusing to comment on claims the boys had been caught frolicking with girls.
Headmaster Mr. Keith McPhee said: "It is an internal matter that has been satisfactorily dealt with.
"Yes, we did have a problem. But it has been properly resolved.'' Mr. McPhee said he did not consider it appropriate to elaborate.
Mr. Jon Beard, director of physical education, was with the tour party in England.
Last night he too declined to throw light on the matter. "I can't add to the headmaster's comments,'' he said.
Some parents have confirmed four boys were sent back from the tour, and at least two have been disciplined. One allegation was the boys were caught in girl's bedrooms.
This month's tour of England had been hailed by the Pembroke school a resounding success.
