Bermuda Land Development Company spokesman reported yesterday.

The Southside Theatre and the adjacent mini-mart on Southside Road were described as excellent commercial properties in an area whose base of business will continue to grow, said BLDC chief executive officer Carl Musson.

"We believe these two prospects have superb commercial potential. They are on the main road. They are in excellent shape. The theatre has proven over the past year that it can draw crowds for a variety of shows and the mini mart is located in the centre of a community that has expressed needs for a variety of commercial services.'' The Southside Theatre has 425 seats making it Bermuda's largest. Over the past year it has been used for comedy shows, concerts and musical and community events.

The mini-mart is a 4,000 square-foot, multi-purpose commercial building that has served as a convenience store, community centre and conference hall.
