The arrests were made hours after a masked-man, toting a toy gun, robbed a security guard of more than $4,000 as he left the office.

Police spokesman Sgt. John Dale yesterday said despite the arrests of the three men who are all in their twenties, Police were still appealing for anyone with information about the robbery to contact Det. Ch. Insp. Carlton Adams at 299-4580.

In light of the robbery, Shadow Minister of Delegated Affairs Mr. Stanley Morton yesterday questioned whether it might be an opportune time for security firms to review their operations.

He suggested increased screening of safety procedures and a review of the staffing levels.

Mr. Morton noted the Progressive Labour Party had always been concerned about the "maintenance of good law and order''.

The PLP's Budget Reply underscored this commitment and he chastised Government for "promoting cutbacks, instead of a more efficient redeployment of Police manpower''.

Praising those who assisted Police, Mr. Morton said the community "must continue to be vigilant and on the alert to assist Police as and when needed''.
