this afternoon so that it will immediately precede the Call to the Bar of his son, Mr. Michael Stubbs.

Mr. Stubbs, 29, lives in New York, where he is in business and studying law.

He intends to practise law in Bermuda, but not immediately, he said yesterday.

His call to the Bar is scheduled for 3.30 p.m. in Supreme Court. The tree planting on the grounds of the Sessions House, originally set for 10.30 a.m., has been moved to 3 p.m.

Dr. Stubbs, a former Cabinet Minister and veteran of the United Bermuda Party Government, died of cancer in August.

His wife Mrs. Robin Stubbs and family asked to plant a cedar tree in his memory, and the House and Grounds committee of the House of Assembly agreed.

It will be the first tree memorial on the House grounds for a past member.

The tree is to be planted next to the two grown cedars on the southern slope of Parliament Hill.
