Eddie Saints, General Manager of Cable and Wireless, presented Warwick Academy Headmaster Robert Lennox with a cheque in a short presentation ceremony.

Mr. Lennox said: "I am delighted to receive this generous donation of $10,000 from Cable and Wireless. It demonstrates the company's intention to support the full range of education on the Island.

"Whilst Warwick Academy is forging ahead academically, it does need better facilities to support its curriculum.

"This gift will go directly towards the construction of a new gymnasium, which is sorely needed.''
