Police spokesperson Evelyn James Barnett said the woman was reversing her car on Dundonald Street at 11.50 p.m. when a man pulled opened her door, grabbed her by the hair and tried to pull her out of the car.

Mrs. James Barnett said while the woman was screaming, the man reached behind her and removed her black briefcase.

He then escaped across the parking lot toward a funeral home.

The woman described her attacker as having light-brown skin, five feet eight inches tall, bearded, of thin build and weighing about 140 pounds. He was wearing dark clothing.

Mrs. James Barnett said the $75 briefcase contained a leather wallet with cash, credit cards and other personal items.
