The decision on an injunction hearing, which took place before Justice Vincent Meerabux this week, is expected by today.

The injunction was filed by the Corporation of Hamilton as an interim measure to stop further building of two new classrooms at the school, pending a full appeal later in the year.

If successful, there will be no further work at the site, at the junction of Dundonald Street West and Cedar Avenue, until the appeal can be heard in November.

Corporation of Hamilton Secretary Roger Sherratt said the hearing, which started last week, concluded yesterday and judgment was reserved until later this week.

The dispute surrounds the use of space between the school and the roadside, which the Corporation argued would be encroached if the extension was allowed to go ahead.

School owner Mrs. Dorothy Billings said she had been waiting four years to build the classrooms, but would adhere to any judgments by the court, and would fence the area off if ordered to stop work on the site.
