The suit has been launched by Televest and its owner Telecheck Holdings Ltd.

It is alleged the two companies lent Mr. Donnachie money, which was not repaid.

Televest and its related companies were placed in provisional liquidation last year. The joint provisional liquidators are at Kempe & Whittle Ltd.

A Supreme Court judge last week directed three of the Televest firms -- CTRAK Ltd, TBL Ltd, and Compuguide Ltd -- be wound up. Moves to wind up Televest and Telecheck may be discussed this month.

Lawyer for the liquidators Mr. Narinder Hargun said Mr. Donnachie allegedly owed about $200,000.
