Santiago in Sandys last March, appeared in Supreme Court yesterday during the monthly arraignment session.

Kyle Desmond Baxter, 18, of Cooks Hill, Sandys Parish, and Eugene Levi Robinson, 27, of Bob's Valley also in Sandys, were charged with causing unlawful grievous bodily harm with intent for the March 12 incident.

Robinson also denied escaping lawful custody, while Baxter pleaded not guilty to using force in an attempt to rescue Robinson from lawful custody.

Chief Justice the Hon. Mr. Justice Ward released both men on $1000 bail each plus one surety.

They will appear in Supreme Court on November 7. A trial date will be set at that time.

Baxter was represented by lawyer Mr. Edward Bailey. Robinson was represented by Mr. Archie Warner.

Mr. Brian Calhoun appeared for the Crown.

Antoine Jermaine Bean, 22, was remanded in custody after he pleaded guilty to stealing more than $2,000 between March 31 and June 11 this year.

Bean admitted stealing $240 from the MarketPlace on March 31, $50 from White and Sons on April 4, $1200 from the Maxi Mart and $60 from Arnold's Supermarket on April 20.

He also pleaded guilty to stealing Roma Swan's purse valued at $50 on April 21, and robbing Amanda Stovell of $950 on the same day.

On June 11, he admitted robbing Latoya Trott of $200 using a knife. Later that same day he also robbed Donald Richardson of $150.

Bean's lawyer Mr. Delroy Duncan asked for a psychiatric and social inquiry report on his client before a sentence is passed.

The Chief Justice ordered the reports and set the case down for mention on November 7.

A 55-year-old St. George's man pleaded not guilty to stealing $32,141 from the St. George's Historical Society between July 4, 1984 and October 13, 1993.

Anthony Victor Payne, of Floral Lane, will appear in Supreme Court on January 16 for trial.

Payne was bailed at $10,000 with one surety.

He was represented by lawyer Mr. Robin McMillan.

Robert Reginald Smith 44, of Table Rock Lane Pembroke, denied using a container of gasoline with intent to cause injury or fear to Benjamin Smith on June 25.

He was also charged with unlawfully attempting to do Smith grievous bodily harm on the same date.

Mr. Calhoun, for the Crown, asked for a trial date at the next arraignment session on November 7.

Smith, who was released on $2,500 bail with one surety, was represented by Ms Sharon Kenny.
