Two men in dark green masks burst into the unsecured cashier's booth of the Village Gate Shell gas station at North Shore Road, Pembroke about 10.35 on Monday night.

And one of the looters was brandishing a machete, according to a Police spokeswoman.

The station's two employees, a man and woman, were both inside the small room at the time.

The first suspect, a light brown skinned male in a green and black flannel shirt and jeans, demanded a bag before emptying the till of an undisclosed amount of cash.

Then he and the second suspect, a man in a white helmet and dark blue jeans, escaped on a black Yamaha motorcycle belonging to Royal Gazette journalist Henry Adderley.

No one was injured in the robbery, but staff declined to comment yesterday.
