Among those arrested were two 13-year-old boys, an 11-year-old boy and a 14-year-old boy, said a Police spokesman.

The juvenile quartet were arrested in connection with a spate of break-ins in the St. David's area over the last two months.

And a 33-year-old St. David's woman returned to her Texas Road residence on Thursday at about 4.30 p.m. to find someone had broken in and stolen a large amount of jewellery.

Inquiries by police led to the identity of two suspects who were later seen riding a cycle near Jennings Land in Smith's Parish.

The two 28-year-olds abandoned their cycle and were pursued on foot. They were eventually detained and some of the stolen jewellery was recovered.
