Assault charges dropped against alleged murdered
him.
Anthony Edward Flood, 27, has been charged with murdering Vincello (Johnny Peppers) Richardson, whose body was pulled from St. George's harbour on December 17.
Yesterday he also faced charges of assaulting Kathleen Nelson and Robert Powell.
But they appeared in court to tell senior magistrate the Wor. Will Francis they wanted to drop the charges.
Nelson has a child by Flood, the court heard.
Lawyer Mr. Rod Attride-Stirling said Flood had denied the allegations, which were the result of a "domestic dispute''.
Mr. Francis found him not guilty.
Flood, of Lighthouse Road, St. David's, is due to appear in Magistrates' Court again today for a mention on his murder charge.
He has been remanded in custody.
He also appears in a breaking-and-entering case on Monday.
