Garbage and recyclables normally collected this Tuesday will be picked up today instead.

The earlier pick-up has been brought on by the Bermuda Day holiday, a Works & Engineering Ministry spokesman said.

He added the disposal facilities at the Marsh Folly Depot would be open on Tuesday from 7:30 am until 2:00 pm.

This was for the convenience of all private waste haulers.

"Residents are reminded to note this change in collection for this day only and for the co-operation of all would be appreciated so as to ensure that no garbage or recyclables are put out for collection on the Bermuda Day holiday.''
