The driver said his passenger handed over $50 to pay for the ride. But while he was searching for change, the passenger allegedly grabbed money from the driver's shirt pocket. He ran off with $65.

Another driver reported that when he was asked to change a $50 note, a thief snatched the money away from him as he counted it out.

Police investigating have not ruled out a connection between the two incidents.
