week to sort out confusion surrounding the fate of her anti-franchise Bill.

Last Friday it appeared that the Prohibited Restaurant Bill had been dropped from the House of Assembly agenda.

Mrs. Cartwright DeCouto was not in the House of Assembly when motions were carried to carry business over to this Friday. As a result the Bill was taken off the agenda by the Speaker Ernest DeCouto.

"I will first find out exactly what the Speaker has done and then deal with it,'' said Mrs. Cartwright DeCouto last night.

"At the moment I do not know what the Speaker has done. I and some of my colleagues will meet with him this week to sort the matter out.'' However last night Mr. DeCouto said the Bill could be re-introduced this Friday. "There is no real damage done. Mrs. Cartwright DeCouto will have to propose that the Bill is put back on the order paper.

"When the orders of the day were called Mrs. Cartwright DeCouto was not in her seat to respond to the call.

"Ministers can move to carry the business over to the next sitting for another Minister but this was a private member's Bill and it needed Mrs.

Cartwright DeCouto,'' said Mr. DeCouto.

The confusion over the Bill came after Government announced the successful bidders for the Airport concessions.

Included in the list was Grape Bay Ltd. -- the company set up by Sir John Swan and Maxwell Burgess to operate McDonald's. Whether a licence is finally awarded to them depends on the outcome of the franchise committee report.
