Caucus to look at position papers

Finalising the more than one dozen papers on constitutional issues like citizenship and judicial appointments has been identified by Premier the Hon.
Sir John Swan as a prerequisite for calling a date for a referendum on Independence expected this summer.
It is believed that Cabinet signed off on most of the position papers at a meeting on Tuesday which began in the morning and stretched well into the night. Cabinet, which normally meets every Tuesday, had missed last week's meeting because a large number of Ministers were abroad.
Today's caucus meeting is expected to be a lengthy session as well.
The House of Assembly is set to resume tomorrow after the Easter Break, with only three pieces of legislation left on the Order Paper. Not all of them are expected to be dealt with.
