Colleges on the lookout for Bermuda students
students to look at overseas colleges and universities.
Held at the Hamilton Princess, the fair had 34 representatives from different universities and colleges in the United States and United Kingdom.
The two-day affair, which ended yesterday, invited all Government-supported schools to attend at scheduled times including the Bermuda College.
Organisers are Ron Ancrum Consultants, Inc. a company which provides services for higher education facilities. The company contacted 200 institutions in the US, UK and Canada to participate.
"We want to expose students to many options that are available to them,'' Mr.
Ancrum said.
"We recognise that most of the students will stay in Bermuda, but some will also go overseas.'' He added that the fair encourages the students to pick up information to read and talk with the representatives from the schools that they are interested in.
"When the Ministry of Education held the first fair two years ago only 23 representatives came but this year we have had an increase,'' Mr. Ancrum said.
