do not want the issue of Independence to die.

And several of them are interested in becoming a member of the committee or a supporter, says committee chairman Mr. Walton Brown.

Last week, the committee began a membership drive in order to boost its membership. And Mr. Brown said that, thus far, there had been a lot of interest from the public.

"People can either join as supporters or full members. The supporters are people who do not have the time to be members but they do not want the issue to die.

"I am very encouraged by developments so far. We are going to keep going until we reach 1,000. We have a lot of forms out with different groups and we plan to give them three weeks to get them in and then we will have an accurate count.''
