Focus on literacy
the world, The Royal Gazette today publishes its second Newspapers in Education literacy supplement.
A blended product of the Newspaper Association of America and The Royal Gazette's Newspapers in Education programmes, "Literacy: Our Ongoing Concern'' aims to keep the community's attention focused on a national issue.
Royal Gazette NIE coordinator Ron Lightbourne said the supplement is aimed at helping to ensure "that all our children develop their literacy skills to the highest degree they are able, with the best support we can offer''.
Included in today's supplement are an international prize-winning article on literacy by RG Magazine writer John Burchall and a report from Joanne Brangman of the National Library on a Millennium project emanating from the White House which twins Bermuda's library with that of Bozeman, Montana.
