died in a road accident in Scotland.

Mr. Andrew William Donaldson was killed when his car was in collision with a Jaguar on the A9 in Dunkeld, between Inverness and Perth, on Friday.

Aged 44, Mr. Donaldson had served in the Bermuda Police Force between 1973 and 1978.

He was one of 20 officers who arrived from the United Kingdom in 1973. Eight are still active on the Bermuda force.

Mr. Donaldson had returned to the Island last year for a reunion with his former colleagues.

At the time of the accident he was on vacation from his work with the Northern Constabulary and was on his way to Fife.

Mr. Donaldson is survived by two sisters, Miss Joyce Donaldson and Mrs. Lorna Shaw.

His funeral takes place on Thursday at the Cleish Parish Church, in Kinross, Fife, Scotland, at 2 p.m.

SCHOOLBOY CAUGHT WITH CANNABIS CTS An 18-year-old schoolboy claimed he was under stress when Police caught him in possession of cannabis.

Clinton Fitzgerald Outerbridge of Cedar Park Road, Devonshire, admitted possession of 0.41 grams of the drug.

In Magistrates' Court yesterday, prosecutor Insp. Peter Duffy said that Police stopped a motorcycle on Saturday, November 13, last year, because they suspected it was stolen.

Outerbridge was a pillion passenger on the bike and Police found the cannabis in a brown paper "twist'' in the front pocket of his trousers.

When asked what the plant material was, Outerbridge replied "green'' and then "marijuana.'' He said he was under stress.

DOG OWNER FINED $300 CTS A Hamilton Parish man was yesterday fined $300 after he allowed his pit bull terrier to attack another dog, causing it serious injuries. MacDonald DeSilva admitted his dog had attacked the other dog on the Railway Trail in Hamilton Parish, on Saturday, October 17, 1992.

DeSilva, 21, a handyman, of Shore Lane, refused to say anything about the offence when visited by Police.

Prosecuting, Insp. Peter Duffy said the other dog was so seriously hurt that it needed a plate to be screwed into its leg. Since the attack it has fully recovered.

Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis said: "You should try in future to keep your dog under control.'' DeSilva replied: "I can't really, it's dead.'' ARRIVAL UP TOU Bermuda's tourism industry continued its improving performance last week when 25 percent more visitors arrived than the same week in 1993.

Government figures showed 4,952 visitors arrived during the week of February 21 to 27, 1,005 more than the total last year.

The strong showing pushed total visitors arrivals this year 10.8 percent above the total for the first two months of 1993.

So far this year, 25,291 people have visited the Island compared to 22,820 in 1993.
