The Visitor Industry Partnership, set up in 1995 to bring about an understanding and appreciation of tourism, will receive the proceeds of the September 7 dinner, to be sponsored by the Bermuda Electric Light Company Ltd.

John Harvey, executive director of the Bermuda Hotel Association, said the dinner would give due recognition to those people responsible for the development of the hotel and tourism industries and donate the proceeds to the VIP.

"Our challenge is to raise $100,000 for the VIP and every effort will be given to achieve that objective,'' said Mr. Harvey.
