"A committee of school principals produced the first draft of this document,'' a Ministry of Education spokesperson said this week.

"That draft has been revised, after having been circulated to all principals.

It has also been shared with teachers and parents.'' The spokesperson added, "The revised document, which also takes into account comments made by the Bermuda Police Force, is to be circulated to Parent-Teacher Associations and the Bermuda Union of teachers.

"It is hoped that the new code of discipline will come into effect early in the new year.'' PLP Senator Milton Scott called for such a code earlier this week.
